First Official Interview
This morning I had my very first official interview for my very first full time (possibly permanent job). I think it went pretty good but I guess we will find out next week huh? ;) The last time I interviewed for anything was when Mark and I first got married and it was for a summer maintenance position at the Lyman middle school not to mention it was over the phone and with my mother in law haha! So I was a little nervous but I think I left a good impression. Cross your fingers and pray for me haha!

26.2
I completed my very first full marathon in Salt Lake. I ran the half marathon last year and loved it and I also did the half in Mapleton, UT so I decided to do something crazy and just keep going. It was seriously the most physically/mentially challenging thing I have ever attempted but eventually the pain went away and my legs kept movin- don't know how but someway somehow they did ;) Anyway I finished... my time was just over 4 hours and I placed really well over all at 400 out of 900 runners, 107 out of 300 females or something like that, and 27 out of 76 or so in my age group (these probably aren't exact numbers but you get the point!). It was one of the goals I had before I graduate from college and start a family so whooo hoo i'll cross that off my list.. or maybe i'll become one of those 50 state marathoners.. the sky is the limit when you are a runner ;)
Here is a picture of my Running Buddies! I've started three races with them!

Christmas 2011 Continued
So this is a little while coming but here is what we did Christmas Day 2011. Christmas Eve we had a lovely Prime Rib Dinner yum!

Of course I was anxious to open my presents as always and so I couldn't sleep all night long! Mark was rather annoyed by this haha! So we woke up as early as I could convince everyone to wake up (I sound like a little kid but I was the only one with a surprise on Christmas Day). However, before everyone got out of bed I got up at 5am.. I walked to the kitchen looked out the window and saw the neighbor's lights not. I went back to bed and chewed Mark out saying, "Its not fair the Toomer's are up but we still have an hour left to sleep... so not fair!" Needless to say he told the whole family and I got teased by everyone including the Toomers! Anyway we woke up and I was told that this blue shiney package was my big present- thinking I got something different I was rather confused and opened it to find an Easy Bake Oven. Joke was on me since I had been snooping so they all decided to trick me and make me think I was getting something else. So i told them I was going to keep it and use it!Next they said this other present was my big one so I opened it and it was my Sewing Machine! It was a beautiful Singer machine that I had some what of an inkling that I was getting it but thought better of it. It was such a surprise! I love it! Then I opened the rest of mine I got a binding and laminating machine with a super cool cutter- straight and squiggly! I got boots from Mark and some jeans and some other small things. Mark got a tree blind from me and Cabela's Dangerous Hunts (he is playing it now so I think I dida good job), his parents got him a tool set with a drill, sander, electric saw, and an electric screw driver, he got a jacket from me and the funniest of all was the movie he got. He opened his stocking and pulled out the movie- read the title and said, "Mom you got me a chick flick!" She had no idea, so when the boys started comparing movies we found that Tyson got transformers- Mark felt he was cheated and that his mom was questioning his gender in some way haha! It was extremely funny.

We went to church after we opened presents and that was the best part of Chirstmas this year! For new years the rest of Mark's family came up and Eric reported his mission in church. We got to see our niece and nephew for a little while and see some friends over the break as well.

We enjoyed spending time with family and celebrating the Christmas season this year. It was so fun to go to church on Christmas and be reminded of the true meaning of Chirstmas this year. We are so greatful for the Birth of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ and for all that he has done for us in our lives. We know that with out him we would not be who we are or where we are today. We hope your family had a Holly Jolly Season as well.

Happy Holidays
Oh boy it has been a long time since I have blogged... been busy with the last bit of school and finals. We got out of school the 10th and went to my parents house for about ten days and just hung out and laid around the house for a few days. It was really nice to have a good long break and do nothing but play! We went shopping in Billings for Samantha (my sister's) Birthday and we went snowmobiling and rode in the fresh powder with my boss from NAPA(where I worked when I graduated) and his wife. This was a lot of fun until Cheri broke the skii on her mobile and we were done for the night ... this was quite the sight as she hit a rock and twisted the skii all the way around and snapped the steel! We had an early Christmas celebration before my parents and siblings took off for Mississippi for the holiday. My mom cooked a ham dinner and we all helped with the casseroles and mashed potatoes! Charlene, Matthew and Ian and my Grandma came down for dinner and we opened our presents that my mom and dad got us. Ian of course got spoiled that cute little boy! And Mark and I got what we wanted and it was all a surprise. We had a lot of fun with my family while we were there.

Now we are here at the Gillies's in Lyman and loving seeing Eric home from his mission and the rest of the family. We went Elk hunting the first day we were here, I had a late season cow elk tag and so did Eric. And to our surprise by the luck of our shots we both got pretty mighty cow elk down in Lousecreek just above Lyman. Once we got them down oh boy did the work begin... I didn't realize the cows were so big! Mark had to gut most of ming because my arms were too short to reach all the way in, i'm sure he enjoyed that haha! And then the best workout I'll get all break long- dragging a 280+ lb (Eric's) and 250+ lb elk (mine) out of this field and up a small hill side- across some winter creeks to the truck. Of course the weight I have given was the final weigh in after the head and skin and legs had been taken off so we had our work cut out for us. It took five of us to drag them out and load them in the truck. You should have seen the sight- two large cow elk in the back of my father-in-law's truck.... bet that looked good going down the highway! So we got to the house, skinned them up, and took them to the processing place outside of Mt. View. We got the call that our meat is ready and we will be picking it up tuesday. Good eatin ya'll!! Yum elk steak and roast :)

Anyway that is what we are up to lately we are excited for Christmas and to see our niece Molly and nephew Boston after Christmas at Eric's Mission Homecoming. More on our Holiday Adventures later, but for now we wish you and your family a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
