Dead Turtle
Just thought I should post in her honor- my pet turtle Gina died while we were in Salt Lake for my Marathon.. sad day... I went to her tank to feed her and she wasn't moving, so i tapped her shell and still no movement, finally i picked her up and she was stiff as a board :( Poor thing died! We had her for a whole year almost and I cried ... not sure why but i guess i loved her... she was my very first pet i had as my own. May she rest in peace in the garabage dumpster.
Salt Lake City Marathon
Success!!! I did it! I ran my very first half marathon and had soooo much fun. Friday morning Mark, Shae, and I drove to SLC to stay with Bryan and Megan at Megan's parten's house. We got there and went to Cabela's (big surprise there- we never go to SLC without stopping off at the "Lehi Temple"- as Mark has so graciously nick named it). We then went out to dinner at Texas Road Hous to load up on all those yummy carbs before our race. We went to bed and got up really early the next morning at 4:30 am to get ready, we left the house at 5:05 am and drove downtown to catch the Trax to the starting line by University of Utah legacy bridge. The race started at 7 am and we were off... Shae and I ran together the whole time which made it really easy to not give up because you had someone pushing you the whole way. It was so much fun because out of the 1/2 marathon and the full marathon there were about 11,000 runners! So you are always passing someone its a good time. We finished at 1:49:47 crossing the finish line holding hands and proud of the run we had. It was so much fun but we are both sore now! I am so excited for my next one that I will run at Hobble Creek in August 2011!

Mark's 23rd Birthday
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear MARCUS! Happy Birthday to you!!!!! Mark turned a big whoppin 23 today :) We had class all day so last night we celebrated at home. I surprised Mark after a long day of work with a homemade pizza dinner with bread sticks, sparkling grape juice, and cake. He also had been craving potato chips and french onion dip (crazy boy) so I made that for him too :) We had a nice candle lit dinner to celebrate his birthday and watched our favorite TV show "Friends". I got Mark a twenty five dollar gift card to Cabela's and let him have $75 to spend on anything else. His parents gave hime $100, his grandparents $20, and my parents gave him a $20 gift card. I thought he made out well on his 23rd birthday spoiled boy! I love my hunny so much and I hope he had a wonderful birthday!

Little something something
Just a little update since spring break:
Mark and I are just busy with school and work right now. We both go to class throughout the week and I still work a few days a week babysitting and cleaning house. We are so excited that Mark got a job working for Mikey Whelper with snow removal, spring clean up, and in the summer he will work doing alot of the lawn mowing in town. He has worked twice now on the sunday of General Conference removing snow and last Friday he worked for 12 and a half hours with spring clean up. It was different not having him home all day, he left before i woke up and got home late that night, sad but glad he has a job! He is back at work today and is enjoying being outside having something to do this semester has been pretty easy and laid back for him so he has been pretty bored but i am sure that will change.
Wheather is begining to get really nice here in Laramie and we are excited for the nice spring weather and summer to come. This weekend we will be traveling to Salt Lake for my very first half marathon! I am way excited!
Just enjoying life and being married and spending time together can't belive we have almost been married a year! Crazy! Its been so amazing.. Mark is my best friend and i love him with all my heart can't wait for the many years to come!

Spring Break 2011
I am a procrastinator and always have been although I have gotten much better on really important stuff but blogging has always been my weak point. I figured I should probably post about Makr and I's Spring Break fun before it got to be old news which it probably already is but here goes.
Mark and I left Laramie on Thursday and headed to Casper to watch his little brother play in the State Basketball Tournement where they lost out after a few games. The next day Mark, Carilyn, and I drove to Lyman and stayed the night and got up early the next morning to drive to St. George. We stopped in Provo at Roberts Crafts to take a little break and to my surprise i ran into my dad's sister and her family ... I sure wasn't expecting to see them but it was alot of fun running into someone like that ... Small world. We then made the rest of the trip to St. George that afternoon and it seemed to take forever. Mark likes to joke that i am like traveling with a kid and that we don't need to have a baby because he already has one!
When we got to St. George we stopped in and saw Mark's Grandparents on the one end of town and then headed to Melissa and Dallas's house. When we got there we went for a walk... well everyone else did but i went for a 7 mile run as i am training for the half marathon in April. It was the most beautiful, warm, easy to breathe run i had been on in a long time. The next moring was sunday and we stayed home with Molly while Melissa and Dallas went to church since Molly cannot attend as she is getting over RSV. We had another planned surprise; my uncle eric, and my cousins jessie and caitlyn came up from Vegas for the day and we went to Bill and Lorilee Hall's House (their grandparents) for lunch that was alot of fun.
Monday we went to the St. George Temple with Melissa and Dallas for a session. It was alot of fun and a very spiritual experience. I ove going to other temples that i haven't been through before it is really neat. The St. George temple is where the founding father's work was done and it was just really cool being in the same temple.
The next day we wend to Zion National Park for the day where we about killed off my mother in law by hiking Angel's Landing which is 5 miles of switchbacks up and down. Mark and I however enjoyed the hike! This was a very scenic and fun day for us although mark says i about gave him a heart attack because i walked too close to the edge.
The rest of the trip we got to go shopping at Krumpets- the cutest crafty store ever, Mark went golfing twice with his grandpa and Dallas and we enjoyed the beautiful weather and spending time with Melissa, Dallas, and sweet littl Molly!
We dressed Molly up like a doll, had a photo shoot, and painted her toenails which the guys thought was very mean of us.
We really enjoyed the break from school and were sad to come back to Laramie to the freezing cold ICE AGE.....The warm 70 degree weather was a nice change!
