Christmas {Sunday Best}

Almost forgot these fun pictures after church on Christmas Sunday! I love my family!

Christmas 2016

We had a very wonderful Christmas this year. I think I was more excited for Christmas morning than the kids... just to see their faces when they open their presents is so much fun! I took probably way too many pictures this year! So this post will just explain itself in photos.
We let the boys open their present from us early before we took off from Baggs for Christmas break. It was in a giant box and we really thought it would take up way too much space in the car traveling all during the break so we let them have at it! The LOVED it! Truly they played on it non stop up until we left town and craved it while we were gone! Graysen was the surprising one we weren't sure he would like it but he really did and asked "more more" while pointing to it all day long!
Dale Wille who is the Ag teacher at LSRV school where Mark works made these beautiful wooden toy chests and gave them to our boys for Christmas. They are so beautifully handcrafted and he put a lot of love and thought into them even if he won't admit to the love part! We are so lucky to have such wonderful people "adopt" our children and take care of us and them.
Here are our sweet boys on Christmas Eve. We get them Christmas jammies every year and let them open them on Christmas Eve. Usually mom is on top of things and has a fun Christmas book for them but I could never find one that I liked enough to get them. Which mark was a little relieved because we have tons of books and Grandma got them books for Christmas too... maybe I'll find a cute one in advanced next year! I love this tradition with out boys! Easton loved setting out cookies for Santa and carrots for his reindeer. He was thrilled in the morning when they were gone and Santa had left a note saying his reindeer LOVED the scrumptious crunchy carrots!
I made Christmas morning cinnamon rolls for everybody. Since Christmas fell on Sunday this year I wanted to do something that made it easier for everyone to enjoy a yummy breakfast and still make it to church on time.
And now .... Here is Christmas Morning! It was quiet a hoopla and the boys loved opening their gifts. Such fun memories with them!
We had a fantastic Christmas day with our family. Going to church on Christmas is my favorite and I love this whole season. It is always sad to me when it goes too quickly. I love creating sweet holiday memories with our little family and celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. He is the real reason for the season. I am grateful for him and all of the sacrifices he made for me and my family. I am so extremely blessed and I owe that all to my Heavenly Father. Joy to the World the Lord was born. Let earth regain her king. Let every heart prepare him room. Each of us should open our heart to receive once again a witness that Christ was born as the Savior of the world, that He lives, and that because of Him, we will live again. I love this quote from President Thomas S. Monson- “Because when we keep the spirit of Christmas,” he said, “we keep the spirit of Christ, for the Christmas spirit is the Christ spirit. It will block out all the distractions around us, which can diminish Christmas and swallow up its true meaning.” How ever true this is. I hope you and yours had a wonderful Christmas and were able to feel the true spirit of the season.
