A day in the life on the farm & Game time!

Easton was super excited to ride the truck with his Papa today! They are harvesting corn right now so we strapped his car seat in Papa’s truck and let him ride to his hearts desire! This little boy really should have been a farm boy! He loves tractors, trucks, cows, the works! While Easton was riding in the corn truck with Papa he had quite the disagreement with his Papa over what and where the corn chopper was. He thinks he knows everything farm related so when he got a little confused because Papa said “that is the corn chopper” while pointing in the direction of the corn chopper with uncle Jake’s truck being filled Easton made the connection that the truck was the corn chopper. So when they went to dump at the feed lot Easton saw Jake’s truck and said “there’s the corn chopper papa!” when corrected he pretty much won the disagreement! My dad called me and said “I lost a fight with a three year old haha” It was pretty funny! While Easton rode the truck; Bethany, Graysen, and I went down to see Grandma at work. My mom works at the Wyoming State Retirement Center as an NSA so we went down and had lunch with her. I think she likes when we visit since she sometimes has to work while we are at her house.
Later Charlene and her kids came over and the kiddos got to play with their cousins for a little bit. We cooked dinner for everyone and then headed down to Basin for the football game.
It was fun to have all my family there. Dad got to stop by before he had to go meet someone for church things and Mom came by when she got off work. We all cheered on the Rattlers including Jake who played against them and actually does not like Little Snake River… high school rivalries never die apparently haha! The boys pulled off a win 61-19 under the Friday night lights in Basin. Way to beat the Rebels!
After the game Mark got to stay with us and drive to my parents where he did some deer bow hunting. Unfortunately when you only have limited hours to hunt (one day) you cant be as successful. The boys and I went over to Lovell to play. We had a fun time visiting family and we can’t wait until we get to come back for some more fun on the farm.

Demolition Day

The boys and I are getting extremely lucky this fall because we are able to come visit my family so often. It was hard moving to Baggs thinking that we might end up a little closer to family so we have definitely taken each and every opportunity to drive up to the basin and visit my family. This time we will get to support Mark and the Rattler football team in their match against the Basin Rebels. When we pulled into Grandma & Grandpas the landscape looked quite different. The tall white house where my siblings and I grew up was being torn down! Feeling a little sentimental. All my childhood was spent in this house... My parents brought five babies home to this house... I learned to crawl.. Learned to walk... Learned to talk. We chased each other round and round the circular set up, we threw things down the laundry shoot that didn't belong, we had sleepovers, stayed up late when we thought dad didn't know, played hide n seek, roller skated in the basement, many Christmases, celebrations, birthday parties, so much love, laughter and beautiful memories that will forever be a part of all of our hearts and one swing of the excavator arm and it's gone... Seems strange to stare at his nearly empty lot where we grew up. That house will always be the "old house" and will always be where or lives began.

Aspen Alley

Since moving to Baggs we have done some exploring... today we found the beautiful Aspen Alley. Only 32 miles from our house... such a gorgeous stretch of trees we had so much fun today! Needless to say getting a perfect picture of my boys is nearly impossible! Good thing they are stinkin cute!

Rattler Football

Mark has the opportunity to be an assistant coach for the high school team and the head coach for the middle school football team. This has made us into official Rattler fans! We love going to watch him coach from the sidelines and the boys love playing near the football field. Easton wants to be just like his dad and be a “bootball coach” he gets so excited and actually probably thinks Mark is playing the game. I have explained to him multiple times that daddy coaches he isn’t catching the ball at the game. But he is insistent he is right- three years olds know best! The teams played a good games today it was fun to have field side seats and support Mark and the boys. This is the first of many football games this fall we’re in it for the long haul! Go Rattlers!!
