23 weeks!

Baby is growing fast! And moving like crazy! He usually kicks when I am sleeping or from 3 pm to 9 pm. But recently he's been kicking at random times during the day especially when I am sitting very still! Daddy felt his little son kick for the first time January 22! So fun to share that with him... It's beginning to feel more real for him now that he can see and feel those tiny feet and hands moving around in there! What an amazing moment!

Baby Boy Gillies

Thought I would post some more pictures of our baby boy! There are some here from the ultrasound which show that he's in fact a little boy and a couple of shots of his face and spine. We are so excited for our little peanut to be joining us in May!
Here's our little boy so proud of what he's got! ;)
Picture of his face and his stomach.

It's a BOY!

Finally getting around to posting what we are having! January 15, 2013 we went in for our anatomical ultrasound. The very first thing our baby showed us was that we is a BOY! We are so excited to have a sweet little boy in our family! When the doctor told us I started crying and Mark leaned over to me and said "I hope those are tears of joy" I replied that they absolutely were and that I was so excited to have a little man! I always thought I wanted a little girl first but I cannot wait to have a son and wrestle and play in the dirt with him! It'll be so fun to have two handsome boys in m life! Dad was pretty excited himself.... All his brothers kept teasing him that it was going to be a girl and he was pretty worried. A relieved grin crossed his face while. Or not so shy son showed us loud and proud everything that he had! We have started getting together the baby's room and have a crib and a few clothes for him already. Mark is still in school and I am just working at the daycare for the University of Wyoming or the Early Care and Education Center in the infant room since I graduated in December. I've been prett bored not knowing what to do when I am at work. Guess when you have been a student for 3.5 years you forget how to have a life when you are done. I've been making blankets and stuff for the baby though so that keeps me pretty busy. Mark could graduate in May but has decided to continue for another semester or so to get his GPA up and then apply next fall for a masters in School Counseling. We are so excited for this change of plans for him and for the addition to our family coming soon in May! app

19 weeks! Almost halfway !!!

This week I am 19 weeks, almost halfway there, and beggining to look rather round! By this point the morning sickness has settled down a bit and I am feeling much better. It's great not to have to eat three breakfasts anymore :) I still get sick sometimes but it really just depends on what I'm eating. I thought I would share a list of the things that I am craving and those foods baby doesn't like too much! Cravings: Mexican! Any and all! French Fries Ice Cream Greasy Pizza ;) Cutie oranges Baby doesn't like: watermelon eggs bagels and cream cheese orange juice oatmeal honey bunches of oats cereal mini wheats cereal ~and many more!!!~ Aside from the morning sickness I am really enjoying being pregnant. I have been a little uncomfortable sleeping but nothing a body pillow and six small pillows can't fix. Mark teases me all the time because he says he can't fit in the bed anymore and can't wait for the baby to come so he can have more than an inch to sleep on. I told him things will probably get a bit more tight in sleeping quarters after this baby comes! I can feel the baby moving sometimes but right not they are just little sputters and flips but also very exciting and special to feel!
