Graysen {6 Months!}

Where has the time gone? I cannot believe our little peanut cluster is 6 months old! So unfair yet so fun at the same time to see him growing and changing everyday. Graysen is our happy little boy! Always smiling and giggling he brightens each and every day and brings so much joy to our family!
Graysen is on the move! He can roll from his tummy to his back and his back to his tummy obviously and he now uses this skill to get around. He now rolls EVERYWHERE and spins so fast on his tummy to get in the direction he wants to go. Just the other day he got up on his knees and started rocking forward and back {SO CUTE} He is not crawling yet but I am sure he will be soon! He has to do something to keep up with his big brother ;) Graysen can sit up for a few minutes by himself before toppling over. He is pretty proud of this new skill!
Graysen has tried rice cereal at this point but he is not a huge fan! As you know from previous posts he dry heaves and gags when we feed it to him lol we continued to try a couple more times but we will wait to give it to him again until we can add fruits and veggies to it so probably this weekend. He is definitely not the little eater that his brother was as far as baby food go anyway! He loves to nurse though... he keeps me constantly busy with that 24/7! Which means he is not sleeping through the night sigh :( But I am pretty sure his brother didn't sleep through the night until 9 months anyway so we are still ok. I haven't moved the little stinker from his bassinet at my bedside yet ... I know I should but how convenient is it to roll over, grab him, feed him, and put him back to bed? He is starting to run out of room so I guess we will vacate him when he does :) Graysen takes two good naps a day. One in the morning at about 10-12:30 and then in the afternoon from about 3-6. He is definitely harder to get to sleep than the first baby was but he usually sleeps pretty good if nothing interrupts him. Sometimes because of therapy and activities with big brother his morning one is cut a little short but he seems overall pretty happy most days to be going with us places.
NOT A FAN!
Graysen loves to watch his brother and play with him. It is so funny to watch them together because Easton isn't quite sure what to make of him being able to come near him and his toys via rolling and spinning on his tummy. He better get used to it because he is so close to army crawling and then there ain't no stopping him! They are cute together though... They definitely have a little brotherly bond! Easton is sometimes rough with him but for the most part he is very concerned with his well being and loves to give him kisses and talk sweetly to him. In our house there are a lot of "baby brother its ok" "just one more minute brother I get you" "Graysen lickin me" (kisses get pretty slobbery from him lol) "You're so cute brother" "You happy boy" "You're a sweet boy yes you are" and many more adorable phrases. Big brother Easton gets very upset when Graysen cries and tries to console him... sometimes Graysen responds better to that then to me but he is keen on mommy picking him up. He is most definitely a mommy's boy but he doesn't mind spending a little quality time with daddy either. He likes his daddy at this age more than Easton did which makes his daddy pretty proud.
This little sweetheart melts everyones heart with his smile and giggle! He has a pretty full mouth of teeth which makes for an adorable grin. He got the bottom two just around and after he turned 4 months old and the top ones followed around 5 1/2 but not the middle ones the outer ones. And just this week his middle left one broke through and the middle right is going to follow soon. I can't believe this little man and his teething patterns! I guess we will just get to experience eating finger food quicker than most. He teethes ok and is usually not a bear except at night then he just hurts. I sure with he hadn't gotten teeth until his older brother had but what can you do kids develop at different times and mine just happens to be early in this department. Graysen started making the most adorable fishy lip face this week only it looks more like he is surprised than anything. He imitates us making it too which is the funny part! They sure develop little personalities quick! And he has a great big personality which is so fun!
Graysen loves to play with toys on the floor and even better next to his brother. But he plays pretty well independently with his own toys. He likes to grab anything and chew on it! Such a typical baby response - "hmmm I think I will put this in my mouth". He likes his stuffed animals, plastic rings, teether toys, his black and white books, cars (of course) and anything that looks bright and colorful!
Graysen is doing better with all of the health issues after his surgery with the exception of a few times he has been able to stay out of the hospital. Just a few weeks ago after spring break he had a little cold that made his oxygen levels drop to 84%. This no doubt put us in Ivinson Memorial for the entire morning working on clearing out his airway. So as long as we can keep the secretions under control he does pretty good. Hopefully he grows out of this soon! WE go back for another post op appointment with his surgeon on the 25th of May so we will see how his scope looks then.
Well I CANNOT believe this little guy is already 6 months old. It seems like I was pregnant with him and feeling his kicks for the first time just yesterday and here he goes growing up so fast. He is so much fun to have in our family and we adore him to pieces! He brings such happiness to our lives and we CANNOT imagine our lives without him. We are so lucky to have gotten such a happy happy boy despite his rough beginning. We Love You!
Happy 1/2 Birthday little dude!!

Sledding {in March}

Only in Wyoming can you go sledding in a decent amount of snow during the month of March! We went up to Happy Jack Recreation Area today and did a little sledding with Eric, Kylie & Madyn. Easton loved it! He has been begging to go sledding all winter and with his brother being too small and too sick to go outside we just hadn't had the opportunity. But today was so nice I was able to strap him to my in the Bjorn and put a levi quilt around him and over his face and we had a ball! I think Mark and Eric had just as much fun going doe the hill!
