Spring Break 2015

For spring break this year we were able to go up to my Mom and Dad's for a whole week. Easton really enjoys being up on the farm because there is so much exploring to do and lots of places to run! He loves to play with his Papa and ride in his truck! I think he would really love living on the farm! During the week we just kind of hung out while my Mom was at work and Charlene and the kids came over on Wednesday afternoon and I got to take Chloe's 2 year pictures for her birthday. On Friday we went over to Lovell to Charlene & Matthew's for dinner for Matthew's birthday party. Chloe and Easton enjoy playing together! Saturday my Mom, Mark, and I went to the temple. Bethany and Easton played outside while we were in our session. There is always something special about going home to the Billings Temple. That is where I received my Endowment and went through the Temple to be married for Time & All Eternity. Every time I visit I feel something special and relive these two beautiful days in my life. My Grandpa and Grandma were able to be with me in the temple both of these times and my Grandpa stood and conducted my very first visit to the temple so each time I go back I can feel his spirit very near… it makes me miss him a lot but I can still remember his grin and winks coming in my direction and they definitely soothed my nerves on those days. Overall it was a good spring break.

State Cheer Competition 2015

We got to travel to Casper today and attend one of my favorite Wyoming State high school events ever… yep State Cheer and Dance competition! You guessed it I was once one of those nervous cheerleaders standing by waiting for my team's turn to step on that blue mat and dance/cheer our hearts out in hopes to impress the judges and make all our hard work pay off. And for the past few years I have gotten to watch my baby sister be the same nervous wreck and I absolutely love it! Last year I went and helped with their hair and makeup and so I got to go and do the same this year. The girls were saying how they couldn't get ready without my help so that makes me feel very good. We arrived in Casper and went straight to the motel to get these girls all dolled up and ready to dazzle the crowd. It took about 2 hours for me to help do bumps and tease ponytails… some of these girls have horse manes for hair its ridiculous and something I am not used to as I have always had thin hair. But after 2 hours we finally had them all readied - fake eyelashes and all and off to practice before heading to the Casper Events Center. The girls were set to perform at 3:40 and some how some way I got myself snuck down right next to the mat to take pictures of them performing… it was really fun. They did such a good job and danced their hearts out. It is definitely tough for a 1A squad of 6 girls to go up against these big 3A and 4A squads made up of 20-30 girls but they really did perform so well and I am very proud of my baby sister! And I got to see my daddy-o and Easton got to see his "papa" ;) Here are some of the "court side" shots I was able to capture… Yay for having the inside hook!
