9 months- Our little handful!
Easton turned 9 months old today! Is that even possible? Where has the time gone? He is such a joy to have around and keeps us very busy- hence the lack of posts lately. That and I've been busy editing pictures for my business Little Blonde Moments Photography. So I've been in a bit of a posting rut. Anyway... on to the big 9 month update! Easton went in for his 9 month checkup this morning. They attempted to get him to hold still long enough to weigh, measure, and test his hemoglobin levels. Well we got him to sit still because rum roll please... this little boy is Growing GRowing GROWING! His 9 month stats are 19 lbs. 2 oz (25%), 28 1/4 inches long (50%), 45 cm head circumference, and sadly he is a little iron deficient.. which is a little surprising seeing how he eats literally everything in sight! We have to give him iron supplement mixed with a little rice cereal and apple juice everyday- who's complaining this kid eats anything! All in all Easton boy is developmentally on track for some big and special things. Dr. Anderson says he will be walking soon.... watch out mom and dad. He showed her all of his tricks and she was quite impressed.
Easton is one talented little buck! He walks along nearly anything he can grab onto including the wall (don't make me explain this one), he says "mama" and "dada", he claps!- this is our newest milestone, he can army crawl and now within the past two weeks he gets up on his knees- he prefers whichever takes him somewhere fastest , he stands in his crib ahhh.... which makes momma nervous! However, a friend of mine and I decided to make cute crib rail covers to keep out monsters from biting into our beautiful cribs- that solves one of my fears at least. We have plenty of bumps and bruises on a daily basis at our house what with all the "bumpin around" going on! Easton is getting 2 - possibly 4 teeth at the moment... It has been a grumpy time at our house thats for sure!
Other things Easton loves books and pulling them off the shelves in his bedroom; climbing all over Mommy's lap; giving us kisses; grabbing our noses (and faces in general); getting into anything and everything he isn't allowed to; and trying to crawl away when we change his diapers! That last one is so annoying. As soon as the air hits his bottom, he tries to take off. We're in for it when he gets to that no clothes stage. He really doesn't dislike anything, other than being restrained when he wants to move, but who doesn't? Favorite thing he does right now: his infectious laugh when he gets tickled. He is just like his Mommy and super ticklish. Easton loves to play tickle and actually smiles in anticipation and gives the loudest scream and giggle.
One day Easton grabbed Daddy's jam smothered scone off the back of the couch... not sure how but suddenly all when silent and we hear "num...num....num" coming from the living room! Came in to find a jam covered and very satisfied boy! Daddy learned; even if you put it on the back of the couch- if there is a will, there is definitely a way with this little monkey!
He is the absolutely perfect little boy we always wished for. His smile melts our hearts and his kisses slobber our faces! We love you mister Easton! Here's to watching you GROW some more!
